Mary Caddick is a photographer and ceramicist currently based in Boston, MA. She received a BFA in Photography from the Maryland Institute College of Art in May, 2016. At the core, she is a documentarian, showcasing facts as unbiasedly as humanly possible. She uses her camera as a tool to educate herself of the world around her but hopes to educate others as well. With the ability to have lived in several different places in the past she has been able to explore concepts on race, motherhood, isolation, and community building. As a ceramicist, Mary is inspired by nature, organic patterns, and letting the clay speak for itself - more often than not only glazing the interior of her pieces and keeping the exterior raw. Her favorite vessel to make are mugs. You can find her ceramic work on instagram: @m_u_u_g.
As work experience goes, for the past two years Mary has been working as a project coordinator and marketing assistant at Albertine Press, in Cambridge Massachusetts. There, she styles and photographs all products for multiple social media platforms, email blasts, promotional materials, wholesale brochures, blog posts, and more. Plans and executes a social media calendar and when she’s not styling and photographing, she’s ordering supplies, coordinating with outside vendors, and communicating with client’s to help bring about their dream wedding invitations.
